Courses for Youngsters

There are a myriad of pressures on todays young people. Shaping a better world for the future begins with properly educating and uplifting children and teenagers. A number of courses, with a strong emphasis on the breath, have been devised for different age groups.

Art Excel Program

Art Excel workshop in Hamburg, Germany Art Excel stands for All Round Training in Excellence. As the name suggests, children get training covering all aspects - physical, mental, spiritual.

This program has been developed for children between the ages of eight and fifteen years.

The course teaches the principles of the Art of Living through games and fun. It involves yoga and meditation and children's Kriya (called Happy Breath), but also sport, drama, music, art, challenges, a service project, a nature outing, and much more.

Through play, fun and laughter, children learn valuable lessons on how to share with others, work and play in harmony and develop a sense of belongingness. They become more self-expressive and comfortable and natural even with diverse groups of people.

They are also taught various simple yoga exercises and effective and powerful breathing processes which help to eliminate fear, anxiety, depression and other undesirable emotions.

Meditation, being an important tool to tap the children's hidden potential, forms an integral part of the program.

The children show enhancement of creative skills, improvement of memory and concentration, development of leadership qualities and healthy emotions, clarity of mind and better interaction with everyone after undergoing the program.

Art Excel programs give proper direction to the enthusiasm and dynamism in children. It helps them to contribute to the society by making them responsible beings.

The YES Program

The Youth Empowerment Seminar or The YES Program, is a workshop that teaches teenagers how to accept themselves and other people, handle all situations in life, make them responsible and efficient and tackles problems such as depression, lack of confidence, loneliness and lack of concentration.

YES workshop in Washington DC Today's youth are bombarded by a variety of stresses such as depression, violence, peer and academic pressure, overloaded schedules, drugs and urbanized aggressive environments. YES provides a practical, lasting solution to these challenges by addressing such pressures head on.

The workshops use challenging, interactive processes and group discussions, guiding students to identify human values and foster leadership skills such as acceptance of diversity, courage, respect, trust and selfless giving. Students are challenged to go beyond a limited perspective of life and to consider the world at large with all its social, racial, ethnic and religious diversity.

Students are also taught powerful breathing techniques that release emotional and physical stress and help foster greater emotional stability, mental clarity, creativity, concentration, critical thinking and physical relaxation. Students develop the ability to respond calmly and effectively in highly stressful situations with a heightened degree of confidence and self-esteem.

Gone are the days when yoga and meditation were considered activities for the middle aged and old generation. Today, more and more youngsters are enrolling in the YES Program to get a grip on their lives.
